Deadliest of the day are a suicide bombing in Ramadi that kills 56 people and a suicide blast near a Shiite Muslim shrine in Karbala that kills 49 people. -Sept. 14, 2005: At least 122 Iraqis are killed, including 112 by a suicide car bomber in a crowd of day laborers in Baghdad. -Feb. 1, 2004: Suicide bombers kill 109 people in two Kurdish party offices in Irbil.
